Cash Application Updates August 2026
Batch Management Updates
What’s New
Inactive batches will now be automatically marked as Abandoned once they exceed the configured data retention period. This helps keep active work queues cleaner and supports overall system performance.
In some cases, Versapay Support may assist with batch management. When this occurs, you’ll see “Support” listed as the user who performed the action, such as creating, releasing, or abandoning a batch.
What This Means for You
No action is required from your team.
Your existing workflows remain unchanged.
This update does not impact payment processing, data, permissions, or audit history.
Improved Advice Matching Experience
What’s New
We’ve enhanced the Advice Matching workspace with searchable Team and Bank Account Name columns. These new filters make it easier to locate available funds, especially for organizations managing multiple bank accounts or team-based payment workflows.
Why It Matters
Users can more quickly find the payments relevant to their responsibilities, improving efficiency while supporting more secure workflows by allowing teams to rely on bank account names instead of exposing account numbers.
Enhanced Multi-Format Cash Letter Management
What’s New
We’ve improved the administration experience for organizations using multiple Cash Letter formats by:
Simplifying how default Cash Letter formats are configured.
Expanding Output File Status to display files generated across multiple Cash Letter formats.
Why It Matters
Administrators now have better visibility into generated output files and a more intuitive configuration experience for complex banking environments.
Canadian Payment Recognition
What’s New
Lockbox processing now provides improved recognition of Canadian currency amounts during payment validation.
Why It Matters
Better currency recognition helps improve validation accuracy, reducing manual intervention and supporting more efficient Canadian payment workflows.
Together, these enhancements help Cash Application you work more efficiently while maintaining the reliability, visibility, and control needed for daily payment operations.
