Usability Enhancements in Collaborative AR

Over the last several sprints, Versapay has released updates to address usability concerns and make our platform more accessible to all users. This effort has (and continues to be) an amazing opportunity to better understand our users, especially those who previously faced accessibility challenges with our tools.

While many updates are behind the scenes and may go unnoticed, there are some notable UI changes:

Updates to Hover Popups

In Collaborative AR, many popups were only accessible by mouse hover, preventing access via keyboard or screen readers. Screen readers are crucial for blind or visually impaired users to access webpages or software.

To address this, hover popups on the Customers, Invoices, and Payments listing pages, as well as the main Dashboard, now require a click. This change allows them to be accessed via keyboard controls and screen readers.

Customer Name No Longer Links to Customer Page

A notable UI change with the popover shift was removing the ability to click on a customer name to go directly to the customer detail page. This behavior made the links in the popup inaccessible via keyboard. To provide similar access, a new 'Open Customer' link was added. Clicking on the customer name or using Tab + Enter generates a popover where links can be accessed.
