Versapay Product Updates: Collect Customer Payment Cards Securely
New Feature: Request Payment Card
Release Date: March 13, 2026
Product: Collaborative AR
Feature: Request Payment Card
What’s New
With the new Request Payment Card feature, suppliers can send a notification that directs their customers to a secure page to enter their card details. This eliminates the need to collect sensitive payment information over the phone or through insecure channels.
By securely capturing the customer’s payment method, suppliers can process payments faster and reduce delays, helping move invoices to payment more quickly while maintaining compliance and security standards.
How It Works
A supplier sends a Request Payment Card notification from the Customer Details page.
The customer receives an email with a secure link.
The customer enters their card information on a simple, secure page
After submitting their card information, the customer is shown a confirmation page and can create an account if they want to manage or review their saved payment methods.
Additional Enhancements
Suppliers can now subscribe to a notification that alerts them when a customer has successfully added their payment card, allowing them to begin processing payments right away.
The capability is also available through our API, enabling embedded ERP integrations to request payment cards directly from customers.
Benefits for You and Your Customers
Frictionless experience for customers – Add payment information in seconds without the burden of account setup or password management
Compliance-friendly for suppliers – Never handle sensitive card data directly, ensuring adherence to strict regulatory requirements
Accelerated payment cycles – Move customers away from checks and toward instant digital payments with minimal effort
Flexible customer engagement – After adding their card, customers can optionally create an account to manage their payment methods, but it’s never required
This update represents our continued commitment to removing barriers in the accounts receivable process while upholding the security and compliance standards your business demands.
