August 26, 2024: Collaborative AR (NetSuite Users) Updates
We’re excited to introduce the latest updates and enhancements for the NetSuite Connector Bundle (ID 413798). These improvements are designed to streamline the integration between our Collaborative AR platform and NetSuite ERP, enhancing your overall user experience.
Automated Sync of Versapay Payment Notes to NetSuite
Previously, payors using Collaborative AR’s Customer Portal could leave notes while making payments, but these notes, including important details like Short Pay Reasons or Dispute Reasons, did not sync to NetSuite. This required users to log into the Collaborative AR Supplier Portal to view these notes, as they were not accessible directly within NetSuite ERP.
Please note that Versapay may not be able to upgrade your bundle automatically if it was not initially installed as a “Managed” bundle, and you will need to perform the bundle update process. For detailed, step-by-step instructions on updating your Versapay Connector Bundle, click here to access our guide.
To improve this process, we’ve developed the Versapay Payment Notes feature, now available in Bundle Version 1.0.13 and higher, allowing payment notes to sync seamlessly with NetSuite. Full release notes are available here.
Improved Payment Event Syncing
Payments processed in Collaborative AR will now sync with NetSuite and create a Payment Event that accurately represents the transaction, including tagging the card or bank account used for the payment as a Payment Instrument in NetSuite*.
Before Enhancement: Payments processed in Collaborative AR were sent to NetSuite without creating a payment event or tagging the Payment Instrument that was used.
After Enhancement: If the "Payment Instruments" feature is turned on, payments made in Collaborative AR will now be synced to NetSuite in the same manner but with a Payment Event attached, and it will tag the card/bank used to make the payment.
This feature requires an opt-in configuration that Versapay will begin rolling out in phases to NetSuite accounts that have Payment Instruments turned on. Alternatively, you may contact Versapay support after upgrading your bundle for the feature to be enabled in your account immediately.
*The Payment Event creation feature is only applicable if the Payment Instrument feature is enabled in your NetSuite account.
